It’s not everyday you get to see thousands of New Yorkers on the subway in their underwear. This was a day you definitely didn’t want to take a cab.
For those lucky enough to take the subway on January 13, 2013, the trains coming out of Queens and Brooklyn were flooded with tighty whities, boxers, colorful underwear, panty hose – you name it – for the annual “No Pants Subway Ride.”
Old and young alike shocked tourists and even unsuspecting New Yorkers as they tore off their pants and skirts as part of a prank made famous by Improv Everywhere.
The jokesters pretended to not know each other, but as they got closer to their destination, a sea of undergarments and flesh was revealed.
New Yorkers weren’t the only freaks giving a show. People in 17 different countries all took part in Sunday’s No Pants Subway Ride.
Many New Yorkers were caught off guard. I missed the show, but I can only imagine how awkward bystanders must have felt. For everyone else who also missed the public exhibition, watch the video to see what it was really like.
